(Reuters) - That has triggered speculation that ING or another large
banking and financial group could enter the bidding war for ABN
being fought between the consortium and Barclays , but a
a spokesman for ING said the group would not respond to rumours.
"We stay with the statement that we looked at ABN, we did
our homework, we did not move and we feel comfortable with that
decision," the ING spokeswoman said.
