Australian Dollar at 87.16 U.S. Cents, Near 18-Year High, in Sydney Trade

(Bloomberg) -- The Australian dollar traded at 87.16
U.S. cents as of 7:38 a.m. in Sydney, compared with 87.51 in late
Asia yesterday, when it touched 87.60 cents, the strongest since
February 1989.
