(Reuters) - As part of the settlement agreement, Abbott will forgive approximately $5.6 million in debt it claimed was in default, SpectRx said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The disputes arose from a research, development and license agreement, which was terminated in January 2003 with neither party admitting any liability or wrongdoing, the company said.
