Philippine Export Growth Probably Accelerated in April on China Demand

(Bloomberg) -- Philippine export growth probably
accelerated for a second month in April as increased shipments
of computer chips, disk drives and minerals to China and Europe
made up for fewer sales to the U.S.

Overseas sales increased 8.3 percent, according to the
median estimate of eight economists in a Bloomberg News survey.
Exports increased 7.8 percent in March to the highest level
ever. The government will report April exports at 9 a.m. in
Manila tomorrow.
